Announcement
(a) Research Fellowship
The Forum offers six Junior Fellowships every year for
scholars from Gujarat and other neighboring states to visit the Centre
for one month each to consult its library. Those who are registered for
research degrees (Ph.D. or M. Phil.) are eligible to apply for this
fellowship. A monthly stipend of Rs.8000/ (Rupees eight thousand only)
will be paid to the Fellow. No traveling allowances will be paid to the
candidate. A recipient of any other fellowship is not eligible to
receive this fellowship. Preference will be given to those who come from
socially and economically disadvantaged background. Applications in the
format given below must reach the Director, Centre for Contemporary
Theory by September 15, 2007 for the winter grant and March 31, 2008 for
the summer grant. In special cases, applications from post-graduate
students could be considered.
(b) Library Fellowship
The new grant from the Ford Foundation provides funds for a
few library fellowships for scholars outside Baroda to visit the Centre
for a period of one month each to consult books in its library. Each
library fellow will receive a consolidated amount of Rs. 8000/ (Rupees
eight thousand only). The Forum will not pay for his/her travel.
Applications in the format given below are invited from interested
scholars. The deadline for receiving application for the winter grant is
September 15, 2007 and for the summer grant March 15, 2008.
(c) Translation Fellowship
The Forum announces two fellowships for translation studies
per year. Each fellowship carries an amount of Rs. 8000/. Those who are
interested in translating critical texts from English to regional
languages such as Gujarati, Marathi, and Hindi or vice versa are invited
to send their application in the format given below. The deadline for
winter grant is September 15, 2007, and for summer grant is March 15,
2008.
