The Journal of Contemporary Thought,
an inter-disciplinary international journal sponsored by the Center for
Contemporary Theory (Baroda), the International Lincoln Center
(Shreveport), and the College of Arts and Humanities of the Central
Washington University invites articles on "Humanities in the
Twenty-first Century" for a special issue to be published this fall.
The essays should focus on long-term global consequence of the loss of
faith in the humanities ushered in the late twentieth century, and on
the critical and strategic role of the humanities in a new century of
radical new technology. Innovative approaches to human conditions around
the world--poverty, war, disease, and emerging new divisions among
nations, to name a few--through the study and practice of the humanities
are particularly welcome. Submissions, limited to 6000 words and
prepared in the MLA format, should be sent as MS Word attachment to
Professor Sura Rath . |
