The Forum organized a function on July 20, 2006 at the Centre for Contemporary Theory to name its library and conference hall after Balvant K Parekh, the Chairman of Pidilite Industries, Mumbai, who had donated to the Forum a sum of rupees 7.5 lakhs for buying the present premises. Balvantbhai and his daughter Kalpanaben were present at the function. Balvantbhai announced at the function that he would contribute to the Forum a sum of rupees 1 lakh every year for at least the coming three years to promote studies and research in the area of General Semantics. The Forum has accepted his proposal.
